Relationships are one of the most rewarding—and sometimes challenging—parts of life. Whether you’re facing communication breakdowns, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling disconnected, couples therapy can help you find clarity, connection, and hope.

My approach

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as the foundation of my work with couples, helping partners better understand and respond to each other’s needs for connection. I also draw on other evidence-based approaches as appropriate, tailoring my work to each couple’s unique dynamics.

Typical couple therapy process

  • Optional Free 30-Minute Consultation:   I offer a no-charge consultation to help you decide if I’m the right fit for your needs
  • Joint Session: We start with a session together to explore your goals and concerns as a couple
  • Individual Sessions: Each partner has one individual session, giving space to share personal histories and perspectives. Note that what is shared within the individual sessions may be shared in joint sessions
  • Couples Sessions (8–12): We meet regularly—often weekly or bi-weekly at first as we focus on the main challenges and opportunities for growth in your relationship.  As we progress we may alter the cadence
  • Follow up / Tune up Sessions (as needed): Following your main block of therapy we can meet on an as needed basis to refine, re-tune, and maintain the work you have done

Where to start?

I recommend starting weekly if your relationship is in distress and shifting to biweekly as you gain tools and insights. Sessions spaced further apart can sometimes lose momentum, so we find a rhythm that balances progress with the demands of your busy lives.

A collaborative and safe space

I care deeply about creating a space where both partners feel safe, supported, and heard. My alliance is with your relationship—helping you uncover what’s working, address what’s hurting, and build new patterns of connection. Together, we’ll explore ways to adapt, heal, and grow as you move into the next phase of your life as a couple.
